Report on Ohio Sex Trade Victims

Among other interesting facts, the one that most news agencies seem to be focusing on is the fact that the majority of children recruited into the sex trade are apparently recruited by women, while those who are recruited as adults are more often recruited by men.

Yesterday in Singapore, the exhibit “Bought & Sold: Voices of Human Trafficking” was installed under patronage of Ambassador Tommy Koh — part of a two-month awareness campaign presented by EmancipAsia and ArtWorks for Freedom Singapore. Besides the Exhibit, the campaign includes:- a Film Forum with free screenings of 14 powerful documentary and feature films- a display of art by Cambodian survivor Vannak and three Survivors Quilts- performance of a theater piece by AWFF contributing artist Dawn Saito- prominent speakers, activists and anti-trafficking adovcates at Fundraising Gala Dinner- a Symposium and Call to Action hosted by NUS. Check out www.emancipasia.org for more information and photos!
